"If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants"
                         - Isaac Newton
At the beginning of the year, we took our prototype base design around to each of the engineering companies in town. We brainstormed ideas, and explain to them what the competition was all about. Then after completing the robot and taking it to Worlds, we came back around to those engineering companies and revealed the final product. It was very exciting because they could see how some of their ideas were implemented and how improved the overall performance of the robot. They were also VERY excited to see the ideas we came up with and hear about our successes at worlds.

ROBOT TOUR
My robotics team and I talk to individuals, who work at Information Insights, about robotics and the World Competition we went to.

I was actually talking to a computer programmer who designs webpages at Information Insights.
She gave me some helpful tips about loading pictures faster.

Here, I am explaining how the collector works while the robot is collecting batons from our sample/demonstration dispenser that is attached to the bridge.

After our visit with the Information Insights engineering/programming firm, we went over to Alaska Arctic Computing and demonstrated our robot to the manager.

She was very interested in our robot and the stories we told her about the World Competition.
As we traveled from company to company, we spread the news of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and we made them aware of the robotics involvement in Alaska.
